A história do longa começará de onde a série original parou após seu final, e mostrará detalhes sobre o misterioso desaparecimento dos pais de Arnold. “Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie” está sendo produzido pelo Nickelodeon Animation Studios, e será lançado diretamente na TV. A estreia mundial deve ocorrer em 2017. O desenho animado foi exibido originalmente pela Nickelodeon entre 1996 e 2004. Em 2002 a animação ganhou um filme para os cinemas, “Hey Arnold!: The Movie”, que acabou não sendo muito bem recebido pelo público e crítica.
An upcoming two-hour American animated television film split into two parts. Based on Craig Bartlett’s Hey Arnold! TV series, it will serve as a sequel to the series finale in which Arnold found his father’s journal and read about the life of his scientist parents, including their first meeting, birthing him, and a map showing the route they took to the San Lorenzo before they disappeared.
