A batalha por Ninjago City põe em ação o jovem mestre-construtor Lloyd, também conhecido como Ninja Verde, ao lado de seus amigos, que são todos guerreiros ninja secretos. Guiados pelo Mestre Wu, que é tão rabugento quanto sábio, eles precisam derrotar o vil senhor de guerra Lorde Garmadon, “O Pior Cara de Todos”, que também é pai de Lloyd. Com duelos de habilidades e poderes, de pai e filho, o confronto épico vai colocar em jogo o futuro deste corajoso, mas também indisciplinado grupo de ninjas modernos, que terão que aprender a deixar de lado seus egos e se unir para encontrar e libertar seus reais poderes de Spinjitzu.
